Audio surfaced on Thursday of socialite Paris Hilton making homophobic comments about “disgusting” gay men, who she said “probably have AIDS.”

RadarOnline obtained audio secretly recorded by a cab driver in New York earlier this month of one of Hilton’s openly-gay model friends telling her about the gay hookup app Grindr.

Say I log into Grindr, someone that’s on Grindr can be in that building and it tells you all the locations of where they are and you can be like, ‘Yo, you wanna fuck?’ and he might be on like, the sixth floor,” the friend explains.

“The cab driver who recorded this, only provided a portion of the conversation. It was not her intent to make any derogatory comments about all gays. Paris Hilton is a huge supporter of the gay community and would never purposefully make any negative statements about anyone’s sexual orientation.”

Gawker’s Rich Juzwiak observed that the spokesperson’s explanation was “even stupider shit” than Hilton had said in the first place.

“Got that? She wasn’t making a derogatory statement about gays, just the disgusting ones with AIDS, and we can all agree that they deserve it, right?” Juzwiak wrote. “Also AIDS makes you horny, as only a huge supporter of the gay community could tell you. Furthermore, she can’t be homophobic because she has a ‘close gayfriend.’ Glad that’s cleared up.”
