(via Todd Akin rape remark featured in new Claire McCaskill ad : Stltoday)
In the final week of campaigning, U.S. Sen. Claire McCaskill will make sure voters won’t forget U.S. Rep. Todd Akin’s comment on rape.
McCaskill is out with a new ad featuring the clip of Akin’s comment that ”if it’s a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down.”
Akin apologized for the comment in August.
McCaskill was set to appear on Sunday at a campaign event at a south St. Louis coffee shop. She canceled to be at her ailing mother’s bedside.
