On yesterday’s episode of “Prophetic Perspective on Current Events,” Rick Joyner declared that democracy in America has failed and that the nation might not last even to the end of President Obama’s term, warning that we are heading for a tyranny from which we can only be saved by a military takeover.
"There’s no way our republic can last much longer," Joyner said, adding that “we’re headed for serious tyranny” because the electoral system is so broken that the leaders we need who can save this nation will never win office. That is why “our only hope is a military takeover; martial law”:[…]
UPDATE II: Joyner is standing by his call for a military coup.
On yesterday’s episode of “Prophetic Perspective on Current Events,” Rick Joyner explained that he was not always what one would call a “patriot” because, as a pastor, he was mainly concerned with saving souls. Besides, he also had some concerns about some of the Founding Fathers and wasn’t sure if they were really “inspired by divine principles, by biblical principles.”
As such, he decided to look into the issue for himself in order to determine whether or not he should really care about what is happening to America and, lo and behold, God showed him ”that America had been established by Him for a special purpose and I saw that purpose in the Scripture and I saw America in the prophetic books of the Bible.”
In fact, during his course of study, Joyner also discovered that many of the Founding Fathers saw America “as a model for the coming Kingdom of God … It was their vision of the Kingdom that they sought to bring forth in America.”
Bakker: 'They Can Take And Put You In Prison Now If You Speak Out Against Our Leaders' | Right Wing Watch
Early last month, Rick Joyner was the guest on Jim Bakker’s television program where the two men lamented that America has been lost, declared that President Obama was God’s judgment upon this nation, and warned that Christians will wind up in prison in the very near future.
Bakker began by saying that he is now even reluctant to mention President Obama on his program “because they can take and put you in prison now if you speak out against our leaders.” He then began to rant that the nation is “following leaders who have come against every tenet of the faith of the word of the living God” and declaring that “America is not America any more,” which prompted Joyner to add that following leaders like this “is an ultimate depravity and that is what releases [God’s] judgment against a nation and this is what we’re experiencing.”
"I believe, if we don’t speak out, we’re all going to be in prison very, very soon," Joyner said. “And it’s going to be a worse prison then we could imagine … If we don’t have revival, if we don’t have another great awakening, we’re going to experience a tyranny and a totalitarian oppression far worse than anything that was experienced in the Twentieth Century.”
From the 12.05.2013 edition of The Jim Bakker Show:
Rick Joyner is under the impression that far-right domestic terrorist Timothy McVeigh was actually a “left-wing extremist” and that “the terrorist attacks that have taken place in this country if they have come from extremists they have come from the left-wing,” which proves that Joyner either knows absolutely nothing about McVeigh and domestic terrorism or is simply lying.
Joyner, who was speaking to televangelist Jim Bakker, continued by laughably claiming, “I am in the center, I am a moderate.”
Either promoting dominionism, blaming Hurricane Katrina on gay people, alleging that a secret cabal caused the 2008 economic crash to help Obama win the election and encouraging a “second American revolution” makes someone a moderate or Joyner’s perceptions on centrism are a tad skewed.
He later reiterated the claim of his fellow “prophet” Bob Jones that “the number one most powerful terrorist organization in the world is not Al Qaeda, it is our media.”
Yesterday, Rick Joyner dedicated his ”Prophetic Perspective on Current Events” program to discussing the re-election of President Obama … which he is pretty sure was stolen.
Citing a 2006 paper from Princeton University revealing that electronic voting machines could be easily hacked, Joyner declared that he has heard lots of anecdotal evidence about voting machines changing votes cast for Mitt Romney and giving them to Barack Obama. On top of that, Joyner is sure that the implementation of Voter ID laws in Indiana and North Carolina was instrumental in swinging those states away from Obama, who won them in 2008, to Romney this year. Add to that stories about buses full of non-English speaking voters being driving from precinct to precinct to cast votes for Obama coupled with stories of entire precincts not registering a single vote for Romney and it is pretty obvious that the election was fraudulent, which means that President Obama’s second term is entirely illegitimate.
