How is this not a bigger story?  Sure, everyone is all over Ted Nugent for being a draft dodger who urinated and defecated on himself prior to his military review to avoid fighting for his country in Vietnam.  But rarely do I see many people discuss this man’s disgusting past with underaged girls. In 1978, at the age of 30, he became the legal guardian of a 17-year-old Hawaiian girl because legally he wasn’t able to marry her.  In other words, he became her legal guardian at 30 years of age so he could use her as his own personal 17-year-old sex toy. Then in 1981, when he was 33, he released a song titled “Jailbait.” Here, I’ll just go ahead and let you take a look at the lyrics:

I’ve got no inhibitions

So keep your keys out of your ignition

I steal a car like I got the curse

I can’t resist the old lady’s purse

Jailbait you look so good to me

Jailbait won’t you set me free

Jailbait you look fine fine fine

I know I’ve got to have you in a matter of time

Well I don’t care if you’re just thirteen

You look too good to be true

I just know that you’re probably clean

There’s one lil’ thing I got to do to you

Jailbait you look so good to me

Jailbait won’t you set me free

Jailbait you look fine fine fine

I know I’ve got to have you in a matter of time

So tell your mama that I’m back in town

She likes us boys when it’s time to get down

She’s got this craving for the underage

I just might be your mama’s brand new rage

Jailbait you look so good to me

Jailbait won’t you set me free

Jailbait you look fine fine fine

I know I got to have you in a matter of time

Honey you you you look so nice

She’s young she’s tender

Won’t you please surrender

She’s so fine she’s mine

All the time, all mine mine

It’s all right baby It’s quite all right I asked your mama

Wait a minute officer

Don’t put those handcuffs on me

Put them on her and I’ll share her with you

Ted Nugent is absolutely vile and repulsive.  It’s shocking to me that any serious political figure would have anything to do with him.  But I guess since he bashes Obama, trashes Hillary Clinton and is a rabid gun nut – it’s okay that he sings about being a pedophile, right? Well, that’s the message I’m getting from conservatives.  If they’ll allow someone like Nugent to represent them, endorse them, campaign with them and speak for them – what does that then say about them? Because if your hatred for Obama and love for guns is more important to you than condemning a pedophile who sang songs about his desire for sex with a 13-year-old girl… You’re an absolute embarrassment. So, let me introduce to you fine ladies and gentlemen Wendy Davis’ opponent for Governor of Texas Greg Abbott’s campaign buddy – Ted Nugent! A former 30-year-old legal guardian of a 17-year-old girl he was having sex with and singer of the song Jailbait, which is about the desire to have sex with a 13-year-old child.

The BBC will be plunged into a major crisis with the publication of a damning review, expected next month, that will reveal its staff turned a blind eye to the rape and sexual assault of up to 1,000 girls and boys byJimmy Savile in the corporation’s changing rooms and studios.

Dame Janet Smith, a former court of appeal judge, who previously led the inquiry into the murders by Dr Harold Shipman, will say in her report that the true number of victims of Savile’s sexual proclivities may never be known but that his behaviour had been recognised by BBC executives who took no action.

Smith’s investigations, which followed the Pollard inquiry into why the BBC shelved a Newsnight programme about Savile, will send shockwaves through the corporation.

A source close to the inquiry told the Observer: “The numbers are shocking. Many hundreds and potentially up to 1,000 people were victims of Savile when he was representing the corporation. The report will overshadow Pollard. It will go right to the heart of how Savile was able to get away with the most heinous of crimes under the very noses of BBC staff for more than 40 years.”

The sheer scale of victims’ testimonies being examined has delayed the publication of Smith’s report by a month.

Peter Saunders, chief executive of the National Association for People Abused in Childhood (Napac), which has been consulted by Smith’s inquiry, said: “In Savile’s lifetime I wouldn’t doubt [that 1,000 people had been abused by him on BBC property]. The other thing I have found extraordinary, and very sad, is the number of people I have spoken to connected to the BBC, and that is a lot of people, who said: ‘Oh yes, we all knew about him.’

"I was talking to someone at BBC Manchester in Salford who said ‘we knew about Stuart Hall. He had a room where he would take women and young people’. You think: ‘Oh my God, these people were offending almost in open sight and no one thought to intervene.’"

Liz Dux, a lawyer representing 74 of Savile’s victims, said Smith had been forensic in her examination of witnesses and her report was likely to cause serious concerns for those at the top of the organisation. She said: “Every single opportunity Savile took it. He never had a quiet day basically so these numbers wouldn’t at all surprise me.

"Dame Janet is very widely respected and I am confident she won’t leave any stones unturned. The clients who gave evidence said that they felt they were listened to very sensitively and sympathetically and were able to give their evidence in a lot of detail. This will not be a what-the-BBC-want sort of report."

A second report on the scale of Savile’s abuse within the NHS has also been delayed due to the number of places in which Savile committed crimes and it is not expected until June.

Smith has used a similar methodology to that employed during the Shipman inquiry, which found the GP had killed hundreds of patients, not just the 15 for which he received life sentences before taking his own life in his prison cell.

Her team sent letters to every member of BBC staff past and present asking whether they had witnessed criminal acts by Savile in order to piece together his pattern of behaviour and establish an understanding of the scale of his crimes.

In three known cases, one of which involved a BBC cameraman who has since died, Savile carried out his abuse with others connected to the corporation, the review has heard.

The report will, however, express frustration that some of those closest to Savile or culpable for allowing him to go unchallenged have refused to co-operate. His criminality peaked in the 1960s and 1970s, when he was middle-aged and at the height of his career at the corporation, but continued right up until the last filming of Top of the Pops in 2006 when at the age of 79 he groped a girl aged between 13 and 16. Smith’s review has been in contact with more than 1,000 witnesses and victims, including the 138 who are pursuing civil claims for compensation, but the scale of those affected by Savile’s crimes dwarfs the number who have so far come forward.

The Observer understands the BBC has provided more than £10,000 in funding, and the assistance of a business consultant, to Napac to allow it to increase its helpline services. Further money is expected to be made available when the review is published.

Lord Hall, the BBC’s director general, met the charity’s chief executive shortly before Christmas and asked for his support when the Smith report is launched.

Dux hopes the BBC will respond to Smith’s findings by offering further support to the victims, who are due to receive limited compensation through a scheme being agreed with the corporation, the NHS and the Jimmy Savile Charitable Trust. Those raped by Savile are unlikely to receive more than £50,000 in compensation.

Dux, head of abuse cases at Slater & Gordon, said: “What I hope doesn’t happen is that the BBC goes into some sort of navel-gazing period. Rather than look internally, look at how they are behaving and accept some corporate responsibility, which is not what they have done so far.

"I have asked for counselling for my clients who have given statements but the BBC have done nothing; my clients have been left absolutely high and dry."

If the BBC really cared about these people then they would have contacted them as soon as they have given evidence and said: ‘We accept that you have gone through an awful ordeal and whatever the outcome of the report we have made facilities to let you go and see this counsellor.’”

She added: “Whether these cases are resolved by settlement scheme or by court the amount of damages the victims of the BBC will get is absolutely tiny compared to what they have spent on their own legal fees, the Pollard inquiry and their own staff. The damages for compensation in civil law for rape is rarely over £50,000 and that is something that is life-changing and hideous. They are actually getting an insulting amount”.

A spokesman for Smith’s review declined to comment.

Dana Loesch defends Phil Robertson’s atrociously offensive comment about marrying girls when they are in their teens, as expected, and pulled the false equivalence card to bash abortion also.

Phil Robertson may be “joking around” there; however, his words about marrying young are highly dangerous when taken seriously, with pedophilia and hebephilia involved.

You, like other right-wing whiners, are a bunch of crude unfunny assholes.

Americans Against The Tea Party on Phil Robertson’s disgusting advice on marriage and teenage women:

In addition to homophobia and bigotry towards African Americans, it looks like we can now add something else to the list of Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson’s shortcomings.
Video has surfaced of Robertson giving a speech in 2009 at the Sportsmen’s Ministry in Georgia, where he suggests that men should target 15-16 year-old girls for marriage — because they’re basically over the hill at 20.
“Look, you wait ‘til they get to be twenty years-old and the only picking that’s going to take place is your pocket. You got to marry these girls when they’re about fifteen or sixteen and they’ll pick your ducks.”

Tim Nudd at People Magazine:

Phil Robertson has been reinstated by A&E after a brief suspension for making anti-gay remarks, but the Duck Dynasty patriarch is caught up in a new controversy thanks to a video in which he advises men to marry girls as young as 15.

The footage, which surfaced Monday on YouTube, is said to be from a 2009 Georgia Sportsmen’s Ministry event. In it, Robertson offers what he calls “river rat counseling,” and warns men not to marry girls who are out of their teens.
"Look, you wait ‘til they get to be 20 years old, the only picking that’s going to take place is your pocket," he says. "You got to marry these girls when they are about 15 or 16. They’ll pick your ducks. You need to check with mom and dad about that, of course."

That last remark refers to the parental consent required in many states for a girl to marry before she is 18. (Some states forbid anyone underage to marry at all.)
Among Robertson’s other dating advice: “Make sure that she can cook a meal” and “make sure she carries her Bible. That’ll save you a lot of trouble down the road.”

His advice on encouraging men to marry teenage girls is downright scary and disgusting.

LostProphets Former Frontman Singer/Rapist Sentenced To 29 Years In Prison For Multiple Rapes Including An Attempted Rape Of An Infant (Yes, You Read That Correctly), Claims That The Infant Rape Was “Mega Lolz” [TW: Graphic Descriptions of Rape and Sexual Assault, Rape, Sexual Assault, Child Sex Abuse, Child Sexual Assault, Child Rape, Child Abuse, Pedophilia]

Lostprophets frontman Ian Watkins was sentenced today to serve 29 years behind bars and another six under “strict probation,” for, among other horrifying things, the attempted rape of a baby.

Watkins, 36, pleaded guilty last month to three counts of sexual assault involving children and six counts involving taking, making or possessing indecent images of children.

Watkins also admitted to the attempted rape of an 11-month-old baby boy, footage of which was shown in court.

Two unnamed female co-defendants, one of whom is the mother of the child Watkins assaulted, were also sentenced to 14 and 17 years.

"Those who have appeared in these courts over many years, see here a large number of horrific cases," said the Cardiff Crown Court judge during sentencing. “This case breaks new ground.”

Though he didn’t speak in court today, Watkins did have a prison phone conversation with a fan after pleading guilty on November 26, in which he denied being a pedophile.

"I’m going to put out a statement on the 18th just to say it was mega lolz," Watkins told the female fan. “I do not know what everybody is getting so freaked out about.”

According to the Guardian, “mega lolz” was a phrase commonly found on Lostprophets merchandise a few years ago.

"Today’s sentence does not mark the end of our investigations," said Detective Chief Inspector Peter Doyle.

The South Wales Police have joined forces with Interpol, German police, and the US’s Homeland Security to determine if Watkins had abused children in other countries as well.

WorldNetDaily has rallied to Liz Cheney’s defense, as she tries to disavow her openly gay sister Mary Cheney and past pro-gay rights remarks in her bid for US Senate in Wyoming.

Under the heading, “The Gaying Of America,” WND columnist Les Kinsolving criticizes Mary Cheney for daring to speak up to defend her family and waxes nostalgic for a time “when lesbians and others with alternate sexual orientations were comparatively mute.”

“How would lesbian Mary expect her sister to regard her orientation if she were polyandrous (female polygamy), a pedophile, incestuous or necrophiliac?” Kinsolving asks.

On Friday’s ”News With Views” broadcast, “Coach” Dave Daubenmire told his viewers that, just as he has been warning for a dozen years, the legalization of gay marriage is now leading to the legalization of pedophilia.

"Hey folks, hear me now: the pedophiles are coming," Daubenmire asserted, pointing to the bogus claims made by the American Family Association as evidence.

"We tried to warn you, that’s exactly where this slippery slope would take us," he said. “Once, in 2001, when we declared that a man had a right to legal homosexual sodomy with another man, we opened that Pandora’s Box … Now friends, I’ve got to ask you something: where are we going to draw the line? I remember when I used to go out and used to tell people this is what’s coming, here’s what’s coming and they would laugh and so ‘oh, that’s never going to happen.’ I would say ‘oh, yes it is if we allow other debaucherous, immoral, unnatural behaviors to be legalized, how do you say no?’ If you say that a man has a right to violate God’s laws and marry a man, how can you say that a man doesn’t have the right to violate God’s law and have sex with a younger man, a prepubescent man?”

(via Janet Mefferd: “ Will Pedophiles Be Covered Under ENDA?“)

She’s out of kilter here. NO, pedophiles will NOT be protected under ENDA or any other pro-LGBTQ rights legislation.

Matt Barber of Liberty Counsel appeared this week on Sandy Rios In The Morning, where he told guest host Wendy Wright that hate crimes laws and the Employment Nondiscrimination Act (ENDA) will be used to protect pedophiles:

When you have laws like ENDA, the Employment Nondiscrimination Act, being pushed, hate crimes legislation, that are as you point out so well Wendy, that are very vague in their definition of what is sexual orientation, we will arrive at the point where you know these people who define their sexual orientation by a sexual attraction to children want to be lumped in among those who cannot be discriminated against based upon their sexual orientation.

Religious Right activists have regularly employed such bizarre arguments against ENDA and hate crimes laws. Naturally, they can’t point to a single case where a state job discrimination law or a state or federal hate crimes statute was used to protect a child predator.

American Family Association talk show host Sandy Rios chatted with prominent Chicago pastor Erwin Lutzer today about homosexuality and the unsuccessful same-sex marriage bill in Illinois. Lutzer said one reason he opposes marriage equality is because of Chicago’s crime rate: “We have such crime here in Chicago, young people being slaughtered every night, we wake up in the morning and there’s been another murder, another teenager has been killed. They said in the midst of a society that is so desperate and so high-crime ridden, do we really now need laid upon this the destruction of the family and the destruction of marriage?”

The two also reiterated their belief that it is wrong to allow same-sex couples to marry just because they love each other. Lutzer, responding to a pro-gay marriage Facebook message, claimed that even pedophiles believe that they “love” the children they abuse. Rios added that even Ariel Castro, the Cleveland man who kidnapped three women, claimed that he loved the women he held in captivity.

Dr. Ben Carson, the latest apple of the Tea Party’s eye, made yet another appearance on the friendly airwaves of Fox News on Tuesday to gripe about the Obama administration, denounce the liberal media, and equate gay couples with pedophiles and proponents of bestiality.

Carson, who stumbled onto the national stage and into the Republican Party’s heart almost two months ago after he gave a speech in front of President Obama at the National Prayer Breakfast in which he called for a regressive tax system that punishes the poorest Americans, was a guest on Sean Hannity’s show yesterday, and ended the interview on the most hateful of notes:

CARSON: My thoughts are that marriage is between a man and a woman, it’s a well-established uh, fundamental pillar of society. No group, be they gays, be they NAMBLA [the North American Man/Boy Love Association], be they people who believe in beastiality, it doesn’t matter what they are, they don’t get to change the definition. So it’s not something that’s against gays, it’s against anybody who wants to come along and change the fundamental definitions of pillars of society. It has signifcant ramifications.

The segment ended shorty afterward, leaving Hannity with no time to clarify whether Carson, himself a black man, would have also been opposed to the 1967 Supreme Court ruling in Loving v. Virginia, a decision that redefined the same “fundamental pillar of society” as something that could not be inhibited by race.

Carson’s comments also puts him at odds with every major medical association in the country. Both the American Medical Association’s code of conduct and the American Psychiatric Association’s Diagnostic Statistical Manual contain strong and unambiguous language on homosexuality as neither a medical nor psychological condition but rather a perfectly healthy and biologically-rooted lifestyle, and remain critical of anyone who suggests otherwise.

He is also far from the first Republican to equate homosexuality to things like pedophilia. Rush LimbaughBill O’Reillystate lawmakers and conservatives everywhere have all sought to paint the LGBT community and pedophiles with the same brush, even as their own party is pulled in the direction of equality.

For example, American Family Association spokesman Bryan Fischer suggested the move would allow Jerry Sandusky-like pedophiles to become troop leaders:

Conservative talk show host Janet Mefferd followed suit.

Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council, which launched a boycott of UPS after the company stopped donating to the BSA for failing to meet its non-discrimination guidelines, said that the inclusion of openly gay members undermines “the well-being of the boys under their care”:

"The Boy Scouts of America board would be making a serious mistake to bow to the strong-arm tactics of LGBT activists and open the organization to homosexuality. What has changed in terms of the Boy Scouts’ concern for the well-being of the boys under their care? Or is this not about the well-being of the Scouts, but the funding for the organization?

"The Boy Scouts has for decades been a force for moral integrity and leadership in the United States. Sadly, their principled stances have marked them as a target for harassment by homosexual activists and corporations such as UPS which are working to pressure the Boy Scouts into abandoning their historic values.

"The mission of the Boy Scouts is ‘to instill values in young people’ and ‘prepare them to make ethical choices,’ and the Scout’s oath includes a pledge ‘to do my duty to God’ and keep himself ‘morally straight.’ It is entirely reasonable and not at all unusual for those passages to be interpreted as requiring abstinence from homosexual conduct.

"If the board capitulates to the bullying of homosexual activists, the Boy Scouts’ legacy of producing great leaders will become yet another casualty of moral compromise. The Boy Scouts should stand firm in their timeless values and respect the right of parents to discuss these sexual topics with their children," concluded Perkins.

In an email to members, Perkins claimed that any policy change would have “devastating” consequences:

A departure from their long-held policies would be devastating to an organization that has prided itself on the development of character in boys. In fact, according to a recent Gallup survey, only 42 percent of Americans support changing the policy to allow homosexual scout leaders.

As the BSA board meets next week, it is crucial that they hear from those who stand with them and their current policy regarding homosexuality. Please call the Boy Scouts of America at 972-580-2000 and tell them that you want to see the organization stand firm in its moral values and respect the right of parents to discuss these sexual topics with their children.

The Christian Post, whose editor Richard Land leads the Southern Baptist Convention’s political arm, interviewed a top Southern Baptist who said the potential shift in policy “boggles the mind.”

A source who has knowledge of the situation told The Christian Post last week that the BSA’s top executives had met with top leaders at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Catholic Church and the Southern Baptist Convention, among others, over the last few weeks to inform them of the possibility of this policy shift.

"It boggles my mind to think the BSA would make such a move," said an executive in the Southern Baptist Convention who asked not to be identified. "If they have counted the cost of this decision in terms of relationships and numbers, then I believe they have miscalculated that cost."

Blowhard Rush Limbaugh dedicated a lengthy diatribe on his radio show yesterday to the idea that there is a movement underway to try to “normalize pedophilia” by classifying it as a sexual orientation like heterosexuality and homosexuality. Limbaugh based his claims on anarticle in The Guardian that addresses questions science still has about the nature of pedophilia, but then he drew his own conclusions that normalizing same-sex marriage is similarly going to lead to normalizing the sexual abuse of children:

LIMBAUGH: There is a movement on to normalize pedophilia, and I guarantee you your reaction to that is probably much the same as your reaction when you first heard about gay marriage. What has happened to gay marriage? It’s become normal — and in fact, with certain people in certain demographics it’s the most important issue in terms of who they vote for. So don’t pooh-pooh. There’s a movement to normalize pedophilia. Don’t pooh-pooh it. The people behind it are serious, and you know the left as well as I do. They glom onto something and they don’t let go. […]

What is their objective? They want us to all think that pedophilia is just another sexual orientation.  You know who’s gonna fall right in line is college kids, just like they have on gay marriage, just like they do on all other revolutionary social issues.  Their own definition of the cutting edge, civil rights, freedom, understanding, tolerance. So I’m just warning you here. You think it can’t happen. “Impossible!  Don’t be nutso and wacko on us, Rush.”

From the 01.08.2013 edition of Premiere Radio Networks’ The Rush Limbaugh Show:

But pedophilia is not considered a sexual orientation. It’s considered a psychiatric disorder and a paraphilia. The issue with pedophilia is that the target of the sexual impulse is children, who can be physically and emotionally scarred by such contact. Pedophilia, like other paraphilias, violates the consent of another entity, whereas sexual orientations do not.

Limbaugh’s tirade is dangerous and unnecessarily conflates homosexuality with pedophilia, as opponents of LGBT equality have done for decades. There is no way to compare two loving consenting adults to harming a child.
